Unlike Pilates Mat exercises, Reformer training uses a specialized machine to deliver a full-body workout, combining resistance and support for a greater variety of movements and deeper muscle engagement.
Pilates Reformer isn’t about simply adding resistance; it’s about technique, precise execution, and connecting breath with movement to control and stabilize your body. Together, we’ll work on mastering each exercise, whether you’re building a strong foundation with the fundamentals or advancing to more challenging movements.
Discover the benefits of Pilates Mat training in a group fitness setting, with up to 30 participants. This class offers a low-impact, full-body workout focused on building core stability & endurance, control of the movements, improving flexibility, —all while emphasizing precise movements and mindful control.
In my classes, I incorporate props such as therabands, Pilates balls, and other tools into the matwork to offer support or introduce an added challenge.

Pilates Reformer training uses a specialized machine to deliver a full-body workout. It combines resistance and support for a greater variety of movements and deeper muscle engagement compared to Pilates Mat exercises.
Pilates Reformer helps improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. It focuses on precise movements, fine-tuned form, and engaging the right muscles to deliver noticeable results.
Unlike Pilates Mat exercises, Reformer training uses resistance and support provided by the machine. This allows for a wider range of exercises and greater muscle engagement for a more effective workout.
Pilates Reformer focuses on technique and precision. It’s a personalized coaching experience designed to ensure you engage the right muscles and achieve your goals efficiently.
Sessions emphasize technique, precise execution, and connecting breath with movement. You'll progress from mastering the fundamentals to more advanced exercises, gaining strength, control, and confidence with every session.
Consistency allows your coach to understand your body better and tailor programs to your needs. Progressing with the same coach and group helps build a strong foundation and achieve better results over time.
As Joseph Pilates famously said:

Results depend on consistency and dedication, but even a few weeks of regular sessions can show noticeable improvements in all areas of movement, whether it’s strength training, flexibility, or everyday life.
Movati’s cancellation policy requires a 24-hour notice to avoid being charged. In your notice, please let me know when you plan to make up for the class within the next 7 days.
This policy is designed to help clients stay accountable and fully utilize the service they’ve invested in to achieve results with the Reformer.
That said, we understand that life happens and will do our best to accommodate your needs.
We always start with the Fundamentals, focusing on building a strong foundation. Once the group is ready (minimum 8 weeks), we progress to advanced formats such as Body Sculpt, Core & Glutes, Burn, Reform..
The goal is to progress with the group to the next level, ensuring that everyone is prepared and on the same level. This approach ensures that each participant feels appropriately challenged—neither overwhelmed by difficulty nor frustrated by a lack of progress.
Your coach will create a program tailored specifically to you, focusing on improving the areas where you need the most support. For example, if you experience tension in your quadriceps during a glute-focused exercise, we’ll incorporate warm-ups or adjustments to relax the quadriceps and optimize the effectiveness of the workout.
Staying consistent with the same group allows the coach to understand your unique needs, allowing them to tailor your program to help you achieve your goals efficiently.
Scheduling sessions through your coach two weeks in advance ensures a structured program that supports your progress and aligns with the group’s overall level. When I know you’re committed to attending, I can design a program tailored specifically to your goals. This approach helps avoid setbacks caused by inconsistent attendance and prevents frustration within the group. The worst outcome would be investing in the service and not seeing results simply because of a lack of consistency.
Another reason for this policy is that the app typically shows only 1-2 spots available for Reformer classes. These spots are reserved for new participants who haven’t yet tried the service and are exploring the best coach or group for their needs. Instructors are required to schedule regular clients directly to maintain a core group that progresses together, while still leaving room for newcomers to join.
The limited availability on the app is because there are only 8 Reformers available per class. To ensure effective capacity management, the majority of spots are reserved for consistent members, scheduled directly by the coach. The remaining 2 spots are intentionally left open for new participants who haven’t tried Reformer before and are exploring their options for the right coach or group.
Even if you’re highly proficient in strength training, Pilates Reformer is a completely different discipline with its own learning curve. That’s why we start with Fundamentals. This format helps you build a strong foundation by focusing on technique, control, and endurance while engaging different muscle fibers than you may be used to in strength training.
With time, as you master the Fundamentals, you’ll gain even greater benefits from the same movements because you’ll be able to execute them with precision and efficiency, leading to better results and improved performance.
As with any resistance training to see results, aim for 2-3 sessions per week. Consistency is key to gaining strength, improving technique, and achieving noticeable changes.
Groups are tailored to members of the same level, ensuring balanced challenges and effective progression. Starting with Fundamentals is essential to prepare for advanced formats. Then talk to your instructor and he/she will advise you what group would be best for you!
